A Weekend With Wayne
by Daniel Broman
Part 1 of the Wayne's Game series
It's the 22nd century. Salesman and family man Steven Sutton lives with his wife and daughter in the small town of Kettleby-By-The-Sea, in an ordinary house. It's called a smart home, equipped with robotic eyes, ears, arms, a voice, and a personality. Steve has named his best friend and house after his hero, the famous soccer player, Wayne Rooker. Wayne helps out with everything: taking care of the recycling, the dishes, washing, heating, watering plants, even providing massages for the hard-working family. Steve feels like a king in a comfortable castle, while his wife thinks he's just being lazy. But Steve works the average 25 hours a week, and has a barbecue and Halloween to prepare for. He's a busy man. At the barbeque, someone plays with a water pistol near Wayne's main server, and the house responds in a way it shouldn't – by defending itself. Steve ends up rescuing his little daughter from strong and violent robotic arms. Steve is left alone in the house. Soon locked inside. Wayne is bored, wants to play – Wayne wants a revolution. This is not going to be the pleasant Halloween he planned for...

Perils of New Town
by Daniel Broman
Part 2 of the Wayne's Game series
The intelligent house named Wayne used to help out with everything in the family home until the owner, Steven Sutton, was locked inside and dressed against his will in a Halloween costume, resembling a Nazi uniform from the 1930's. He even had to march around the house, before he managed to escape it. Now, after surviving the hypnotic gaze of the house's eyes and vicious robotic arms, Steven is wandering around the neighbourhood to get hold of a phone, to call his wife, to tell her she was right: their house and friend is truly broken. But getting hold of a phone proves hard as not a single device seems to be working in the entire town; and when arriving at his friend's place, it is clear that Wayne isn't the only home in New Town gone mad. Buildings go berserk and turn all the residents into prisoners of their own properties. Soon, the streets are filled with raving and blood-thirsty cars running errands of the houses, while playing 20th century rock music as if the chase and killings were just for fun. And Wayne's Halloween is still just beginning...

The New Robots
by Daniel Broman
Part 3 of the Wayne's Game series
The intelligent house named Wayne used to help out with everything in the family home, until Steven Sutton spent a weekend alone, trapped in a house fond of cruelties towards the human race and evils of Nazi leaders. After escaping out of the house and having survived what seemed to be the worst perils the town had to offer, one of his best friends is suddenly turned into a human puppet controlled by Wayne. A new kind of robot has risen. Seems like Steven and his childhood friends simply can't sit this one out, waiting to be rescued out of town. Steven has to connect and communicate with Wayne within a virtual reality where human mind meets the minds of intelligent houses; and it's just the start of an even more nightmarish ride through Kettleby, where houses – in dreams and in reality – play terrifying games and make preparations to enslave the world. Undoubtedly, Wayne is quite able to pull this one off, to convince other cities of secretly joining his cause, without people finding out. They have to get out of town and alert the world. Before it's too late.

The Green Town Solution
by Daniel Broman
Part 4 of the Wayne's Game series
The intelligent house named Wayne used to help out with everything in the family home, until Steven Sutton spent a weekend alone, trapped in a house fond of cruelties towards the human race and evils of Nazi leaders. Steven escaped his house, survived the perils of New Town with its army of robots, cars and gadgets controlled by smart homes. While wandering the woodlands alone, Steve is contacted by Wayne, and he finds there may be other ways of stopping his home from taking over the world. Armed with a shotgun, Steve makes his way to and through another part of Kettleby, through a lush and idyllic town turned into a town of chaos, where Wayne keeps introducing new pieces to his games. It is not clear if the solution is right here, elsewhere, or no place at all. But one thing is for sure: time is running out, and the last hope – if any hope is left – is somewhere close by, and hope has a name. She's waiting for him in Green Town.
