Unrequited One-Acts

At a lonely bus stop that seems to have forgotten its purpose, a weary traveler endures an endless wait. One by one, a cast of uninvited characters drifts in-each delightfully strange and just a bit too human. There's the charmer convinced the world revolves around him, the glutton who treats the traveler's snacks as communal property, the bitter one spoiling for arguments, and a few others who turn discomfort into art. What begins as an absurd exchange of pleasantries slowly curdles into something more revealing-a comedy of vices disguised as manners. When the long-overdue bus finally arrives, it's unclear whether it's bound for escape or the next circle of waiting.

An offbeat comedy unfolding over a single turbulent afternoon, this one-act play follows Ricky, an aimless romantic with a flair for theatrics, who dons a trench coat and fedora to become the self-proclaimed "V.I.P.I." (Very Important Private Investigator). Though no one else seems to be along for the ride, when his roommate Tracy presents him with an offer he can't refuse, he takes it upon himself to solve the mystery of the missing keys-no matter how many numbskulls or femme fatales stand in his way.

Ten years after their final curtain call, a group of former drama students returns to their high school theater for a reunion. As they recall the fond memories they shared on that stage, they find that although they may be different people now, they're never far from the kids they used to be.

Two young adults meet in a quiet diner that doesn't seem quite right. Between the flickering lights, the odd waitress, and the inconsistent stories of the few other patrons, they begin to suspect something unusual is happening beyond the coffee and small talk. As they try to make sense of the night, truth and absurdity start to blur-testing their grip on reality and their bond with each other.
