Undying Legion

Their minds stolen. Uploaded into war-machines. They fight a secret war to preserve humanity. What if there was a war raging for one million years, but it was kept secret? It's a question Sargis never considered, born as an upper middle-class man living in Prime City during a so-called ""Millenia of Peace."" As far as he, or anyone else knows, humanity has no army, no weapons, and no wars. The people of Earth have been expanding into the stars for as long as anyone remembers, free of conflict while the Techno King and his Royal Cabal enrich themselves on the backs of their labor. All was as it always has been. Then, Sargis dies. Unbeknownst to him, an app he used every single day of his life hijacks his consciousness and uploads it into a synthetic engine of war known as a sleeve. Along with countless others, he has been conscripted into the Undying Legion, charged with fighting a secret, unending war in the name of humanity.

Noa and Sargis may have pulled themselves away from the Undying Legion, but that does not mean the war is over. It is only the beginning. The black ships of the Legion appear on the horizon of the gateway to the Federation of Outer Planets, Eire. A small peaceful planet that is about to have the full force of both sides of the war deployed across its rolling green hills and endless sea of forests. Sargis and his allies know that in order for their resistance against the unending tide of the Techno King's war machines to continue, Eire must hold. Even as the planet dies around them.

Battered and broken, Sarkis and the Federation of Outer Planets emerged from the battle from Eire, victorious. However, it quickly becomes clear that they have won the battle, not the war. They know that before long, the Undying Legion will return. No matter how many human lives are sacrificed across the millions of miles of trench lines across the galaxy, the Legion will never break a sweat, will never rest, and will never stay dead. Sarkis, Noa, and their allies come to the conclusion the only way to end the war once and for all is the strike at the heart of the Techno King's Empire: Prime City.
