Stables Mystery

Three sleuths, two girls and a boy, during the summer before going into sixth grade, solve the mystery of a missing Thoroughbred, a valuable racehorse. It turns out not to be the case of a simple horsenapping. The theft involves the whole upscale community which is centered around horseracing.

The third in the Stables mystery series featuring three 11-year-olds in the summer before they go into the sixth grade. They are detectives who solve mysteries. Meri is of Hawaiian descent, Rollo is black, and the narrator is from Canada. In this story a valuable silver saddle is missing during the Cowboy (and girl) Poetry Competition at Rodeo Ranch.

A horse auction is at Rodeo Ranch for the weekend with lots of booths and events. One of the booth owners, who also has horses in the auction, says his daughter was kidnapped. The three have a case! The girl, 16, was to be married next month. An arranged marriage. But there is more to the story as the three sleuths find out. The Fifth in the Stables Mystery Series.
