What's that old adage? You should be careful what you wish for? Here I was walking home from Secrets Cafe, trying to figure out what conflict I could add to the story I was writing when bam, the Universe gave me Secret. She was huddled in my doorway claiming she was homeless and had nowhere else to go. What was I supposed to do? Kick her to the streets? It was the holidays. "Okay," I said. "You can stay one night." I did not trust her. She was a master manipulator, a liar, and a game player. I was not going to fall for her bullshit again.

It's Christmas in Seattle, and Georgia, Elan, Jess, and Mike have one wish: to put Secret, aka Shayla, aka Charisma, away for good. Nina informs them that the legal choices are slim, and murder is not an option. There has to be a better way. But how can they pay the narcissistic viper back? Luckily, opportunity presents a trap, and Shayla falls for it. Everyone can relax and celebrate the holiday season-or can they? When Shayla is released after Christmas, the gang must decide whether to proceed with a night out at Secrets Café for New Year's Eve or hide from her wrath. They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and Shayla is bound for revenge. Everything comes to a head at the stroke of midnight. Will it be a happy New Year? Or does Karma have other plans?
