Fifth Grade
by Tal Good
Part 1 of the Secret Wing series
Nora knew starting fifth grade at a new school would be complicated, but she didn't expect to discover a Secret Wing for students who see supernatural creatures. Dealing with Pukwudgies, evil faeries, and nightmare creatures from local legends doesn't help Nora fit in with the popular crowd, but it sure makes school exciting. With the help of her best friend, Liam, and a magical cat who lives in the Secret Wing's library, Nora unravels the mysteries that have been plaguing her small Massachusetts town for years. Tal Good started writing as soon as she could hold a pen. Likely influenced by her family of writers, musicians, and artists, Tal cannot help but create a variety of artwork. She grew up in a house full of books and musical instruments with nurturing parents and a creative sister. Tal holds a Master of Arts Degree in English with a Creative Writing Concentration from Southern Connecticut State University. Her first publication was a comic book called, "Realm: Edge of Oblivion," published by Guild Works Publications, and she has now gone on to publish her first novel, "Faerie Blood: Song of the Lark." Her interests lie in folklore, mythology, and history. She also plays upright bass for a pirate-themed Irish folk band, Below the Gaff.

by Tal Good
Part 2 of the Secret Wing series
It's a new school year, and Nora's going to need all the help she can get to survive the sixth grade. How is she supposed to pass pre-algebra and fend off bullies while dealing with ghosts, evil faeries, and gigantic monsters? On top of that, middle school drama threatens her friendship with Liam. At least she knows she can count on Yeats and the Wyrd students from the Secret Wing to have her back. Tal Good started writing as soon as she could hold a pen.
