Why This- Why Now? My muse made me write this. Just for you. You're welcome. The point of this was to do a final "brain dump" to get this data out in a single package of data outlining the essential points of a writing system you can follow. And it's been called "concise" and "easy to follow" by my advanced readers. What it doesn't have is a bunch of listicals or authoritative-sounding link-bait. The data that supports this book is in another dozen short books I've written and published on the subject. In this short book, you get the outline and the bare-knuckle opinion of who I think is worth a damn to learn from. Just because I've spent a lot of time and money on courses that weren't worth it, doesn't mean you should have to.

How to Save Time, Earn More, Work Less by Publishing Backwards? The situation that most starting authors have (and I've seen the same thing you've run into) is: How the hell do you get from here to there? You hear and (are constantly told) about these outrageously successful authors. But only a very small few percent of people actually achieve that. If you want to be successful you've got to study success. What I found by studying all these guys that are making six- and seven-figures as an author is that most of them have been starting out with books and ending up with courses. The beginning author, though, has to spend a lot of time and money they don't have in order to do that. So most authors fail to make a livable income. And as if we don't have enough problems, how is it a solution to work backwards? Book as an Idea Container. Let's go back to basics. Books are an idea container. They aren't just an eBook, a paperback, and so on. The one set of content is pushed out through all these different versions: eBooks, paperbacks, hardbacks, audio books, audio CDs, and also -courses. The great part about that is courses sell the books and the books sell the courses. The Sensible Approach That Few If Any Use. Here's the secret: 1) record the course, 2) transcribe the audio, 3) edit it into your book. All types of books. You've got the video, audio, text, and graphics. So turn around and publish that course and also every version you can. Why not? Too simple, right? Also mostly unknown is that you can do this from your own home-office without having to buy expensive programs or services. How can you save time, work less, and earn more? And still publish great books?

Hidden in the book you're writing right now is a way to get more royalties. Deep in the heart of the ever-growing self-publishing jungle, there's a profitable underserved market which is not easily discovered. These people aren't stuck into a certain author, it's more like the certain type of entertainment they want: short stories which they can read in their available time. Successfully writing for these readers has one underlying simple idea, that you can spend two months writing and editing an 80,000-word book and sell it for 4.99 on Kindle. Or - you could publish eight 10,000-word books and publish them for 2.99, then come right back to offer the box set for another 4.99. Which approach would make you more royalties? If you use your books to generate email subscribers, which approach would generate more leads? How about value? Which would you rather buy - one book at 4.99 or a box set of 8 books for 4.99? But you've written the same amount of text in both cases, spent roughly the same amount of time writing (although more on covers and descriptions) for possibly four times the royalties or even more... And then there's the point that there are far fewer books in these categories - particularly since the "conventional wisdom" says that longer books sell more.
