Melowy

Hidden somewhere beyond the highest clouds is the castle of Destino, a school for very special students. They're the Melowies, little unicorns born with a symbol on their wings and a hidden magical power. But Destino is also a place where friendships are born, where the Melowies find their courage, and where they learn their path to growing up. Five of the students are Clio, Kora, Maia, Selene, and Electra. And the time destined for them to meet has now arrived.

The Melowies are required to perform a musical in front of all of Destino. Selene does not want to participate because she made a fool of herself the last time she performed publicly. With a little encouragement from her friends she auditions and wins the role of the moon! A rival Melowy sabotages her performance, throwing green pain all over Selene's costume before the performance. Nevertheless, she closes her eyes and sings. The school is amazed by her voice and both teacher and peers praise her performance.

The Defense Techniques teacher tests the girls on their survival skills, leaving them in the Forest of Colors overnight. They use a manual she has left them to build shelter and cook dinner. Electra wanders from the group in the night and gets lost, sending the rest of the Melowies on a mission to find her. They split up and use different skills to pass the test. Upon returning to Destino they learn that the missing Melowy was all part of the test of frienship. They all passed with flying colors, even with their rival Melowy Eris trying to foil their plans.

The Melowies finally start the Art of Powers class, which teaches them to strengthen the power they were born with. Clio, having been left at Destino when she was born, does not know the realm she is from and does not know what her power is. She must take lessons in all of the realms in order to find out, which she belongs to. Clio learns she is not the first Melowy to be unsure of her Realm. Hidden in away in a book she finds a page that makes her jump: "Such a power will not appear for many years; not until the arrival of a Melowy whose realm will not be known, who will be found..." The rest of the book is destroyed. Clio sees Eris casts a spell that weakens Kora's powers so that she can surpass her in class. Kora and Clio work together to stop Eris and ruin her plan. Kora receives the highest marks, using her Winter Realm power to create a beautiful ice sculpture of Clio for class.

Maya's mother Amaryllis comes to visit the Castle of Destiny. She brings along Maya's brother Leo as a surprise. But on an expedition into the Neon Forest, Leo gets himself into trouble. Can the Melowies rescue him?

It is time for the Feast of Harmony and all the Melowies in Aura are ready to celebrate. Everyone except Cleo, who doesn't know which realm she belongs to. She prefers to take comfort in a book she borrows from Eris, but she quickly learns that the company of a book can be dangerous.
