Dawnette Brenner is a San Francisco-based school administrator, author, and storyteller with 19 years of classroom teaching and 3 years of administrative tenure as vice principal, and continues to work in education. As a seasoned mentor of curious minds, she shapes literacy-rich classrooms, nurtures imagination, and models compassionate storytelling for students, families, and educators. Her work affirms that stories catalyze learning, empathy, and resilience. Since 2014, she has supported learners through leadership roles and now channels that experience into diverse, reader-centered works for children and teens.She reimagined The Ancient Sacred Tree as Joshua Creed:Keeper of Worlds, with this new book releasing 2/26 and a 4-book arc. Beyond Joshua Creed, she has published three children's books and has begun the six-book Work Town series- teaching phonics concepts through narrative-driven lessons.She also has a YA novel releasing 2/26, Exit Signs, and plans for two more fiction titles.
