The nursing home is in the town where the crime was committed and where Clarence grew up. He repeatedly escapes from the nursing home to explore the town, but is, confronted by his memories-bad and good. He is angry and stubborn, he ain't your white-washed little old man, and just wants to go to the hills and die. Until he meets a little four-year-old girl, named Bea.
