Girl's Night

Forty something women, Tamara, Rita, Lisa and Melissa, former high school friends decide to meet up at a swanky martini lounge in Chicago's South Loop. Rita excuses herself from the table and doesn't return, leaving the other girl's to find out what happened to her. What they soon discover is a situation that places one or more of them in serious danger. The pilot in a series of short stories, titled, "Girl's Night". Storytelling is in my DNA. In the second Girl's Night, Tamara's good friend, Cindy is about to marry Brand LaRoche, the handsome man of her dreams. She invites the girls to her 70's themed bachelorette party, unaware that she has become the target of Brand's ex-girlfriend, an unstable woman that has plans to carry out a deadly act of revenge at the party. Melissa has accepted that she has fallen in love with Warren, but she doesn't trust him, feeling almost certain he has another woman. In a desperate move, she comes close to hiring a private detective, the obscure Mr. Alvin Bailey to help confirm her suspicions, but when the girls get wind of it, they insist on helping her uncover the truth about Warren. At the same time Warren has become unexpectedly ill which causes the girls to suspect something far worse than his fidelity. Storytelling is in my DNA. In the conclusion of Spoon Fed, a severely ailing Warren confesses to Melissa that he's married to Tatum, the young, opportunistic beauty Melissa had already suspected; Warren also confides that he believes Tatum poisoned him, and then he collapses dead on Melissa's floor. Devastated and distraught, but determined to avenge Warren's murder, Melissa enlists the help of the girls and the eccentric private detective Alvin Bailey to trap Tatum and bring her to justice, but an unexpected disruption spirals out of control and places the life of one of the girls in serious danger.
