Fae Witch Chronicles

When the fae beckon, very few resist. Even fewer return. As a veil witch, I'm used to taking out the supernatural trash. Everything from poltergeists to vampires, you name it and I've dealt with it. So opening a paranormal cleanup business just seemed to make sense. If I'm already dealing with the pests, why not get paid? But when I accidentally breach the faerie realm to encounter a girl recently reported missing, start seeing the ghost of a witch whose disappearance has never been solved, and discover a Book of Shadows that opens only for me, I can't just go back to business as usual. Especially when I also gain the interest of a sexy and mysterious mage. Timing is everything, and even as my desire grows, a little voice inside keeps reminding me to step carefully. I know all too well that, in the supernatural world, opening doors means facing consequences. In this case, those consequences might just mean never being heard from again.

Getting into Faerie is risky enough. Getting out again may prove impossible. Entering Faerie is enough of a risk, never mind trying to free a changeling. That's never been done before, but that's exactly what has to happen if I'm going to rescue my best friend. So when I run into a half-blood thief who offers to help, I can't exactly say no. I mean, the guy seriously hates the fae. After all, one of them knocked up his mother. Digging deeper into the labyrinthine fae city kingdom, we soon start to unravel a mystery I never could have imagined. Namely, how it came to be that just a few fae now control all of the magic in their world. We also learn that some of the missing humans have been spotted. Not my friend, but we must be getting closer. But when I get waylaid by fae slave traders, find myself stripped of magic and held captive in a noble house, and discover a secret that might turn the tables of magical power in Faerie, I end up with way more than I bargained for. But I also seem to have caught the eye of a stunningly handsome fae lord. Hard to resist. And who knows? Maybe he could come in handy. Because right now it's down to me and I'm up against a ticking clock. It's either escape or die knowing that the next stop for fae magical conquest is the human realm.

In Faerie, magical power means everything. Keeping it means finding the key. After barely escaping with my life, returning to Faerie is the last thing I want to do. But my mission has grown only stronger now that I've sworn to save more held trapped in that realm. If only I know about their fate, then I'm sure as hell going to save them. Even if it means returning to hell. The upside is I now know where Julia is being kept. The downside is she's being used as bait by the High Mage. Meanwhile, the Seelie are losing their stranglehold on magical power as the realm destabilizes around them. Which only makes them more dangerous in their quest to regain immortality. There's both fighting in the streets and search parties on the hunt. I soon learn those men are hunting for me. My only hope is taking refuge with more of the hunted, the rebel faction plotting to take back magical power. They need me and I need them. But there's another who needs me too, the intoxicating fae lord who hasn't forgotten what passed between us. It may be that his power over me proves too hard to resist. But how can I know if he wants me for who I am, or because of the magic that may lay hidden within me? Because if I'm the one foretold in the prophecies, I may hold the fate of three realms in my hands.
