Cor Chronicles

A great wave of evil forms to the east of the Spine, and in the aftermath of murdering Queen Erella of Aquis, Lord Dahken Cor must find a way to fight the darkness.

A new Chronicler comes to the world, and he finds that all is not as it should be. He discovers the truth of Rumedia and how things have come to be as they are, and he is determined to spread that truth to all who would listen.Meanwhile…On some level, it amazes Cor that he has survived so long and managed to protect his friends and family. As I look back, I have always been a storyteller, from my first short stories to my first faltering attempts at playing Dungeon Master. As of the taking of this picture, I am forty four years old, and I still love TTRPGs (here you can find some free, fan-made content for Alien, my latest obsession), all sorts of fiction, heavy metal (note the Iron Maiden t-shirt) and horror movies. In fact, this last will be readily apparent should you read my anthology Tendrils in the Dark. A lot of shout outs, homages and influences there...I returned to my creative endeavors around 2009 as my business of seven years began to burn down around me during the recession. I suppose adversity causes growth, and though I shelved my projects for a few years, I returned to them with the publication of Blood and Steel in 2011. I discovered many of the pitfalls of self-publishing and have worked relentlessly to avoid them in future publications. Regardless, people seemed to enjoy the world of Rumedia, and I returned to it with five more novels.In the end, I'm just a guy who loves to tell stories, read other persons' stories, and head bang in the car. The Shining West, free from the yoke of the Loszian Empire, has long stood as a beacon of freedom, guarding its people from the evils of the Loszians. Aquis is the largest of the Western Kingdoms, ruled by its benificent Queen Erella, High Priestess to Garod, leader of the gods of light.The son of a farmer in the bountiful kingdom Aquis, Cor Pelson had always been different. Shortly after he was born came the horrific coughing attacks, and his skin changed color to a gray reminiscent of the grave. He is a Dahken, a race the Loszian necromancers fear, reviled by the Western priests, and thought extinct by both.As a child, strangers entered his life, even if only briefly, and drove home that there are those that would bend him to their wills. Frightened and determined to protect those he loves, Cor steals away from home. He finds that the world is not the good, safe place that his parents taught him of, but in fact is a cruel, brutal place where blood flows readily and the ability to protect himself is paramount.He finds, even on the open sea, that those who would control the power within his blood follow him, intent on inflicting harm upon those around him. He must learn to tap the power within his blood to find his own path, take revenge and build a new world for his kind.
