Bat Blood

After Sarah Douglas is attacked and infected with the blood of a gargoyle-like creature, the cancer that riddled her body vanishes. The attack draws the attention of Doctor Scott, the scientist who inadvertently was responsible for infecting a colony of bats, and changing them into intelligent creatures that could threaten mankind. As the infected blood slowly transforms Sarah's body, she is caught in the middle of a horrific war between an army of mercenaries and the mutate-winged creatures. Watching the creatures gorge themselves on human flesh, she sees her future and fights to maintain her humanity. With Sarah's blood holding the key to his rearch, the doctor uses his vast resources to try to capture her, along with keeping the outside world at bay. This gets harder to do as the colony expands its territory further away from the 'Devil's Claw' and members of the local population begin to disappear.

Claraicy was both physically and psychologically abused by her father. While left in the woods to die, she was attacked by a pair of strange creatures. After surviving a harsh winter, she begins to mutate and grow stronger. Unable to think or act like a normal human being, she lashes out. The police and army along with several others get involved, each with their own motives and agenda. She is hunted down for both what she knows and the mutated cells inside her. Unable to control her, Duncan, the soldier responsible for capturing her, gets desperate. While unleashing all the military resources at his disposal, the body count increases. As his mind turns darker, so do his methods. As Claraicy turns more creature then human, she feels like she has been given a new life. Her only problem is, she can't get over her hatred for Santa Claus.

Bat Blood III - Resurgence starts where 'The Devil's Claw' left off, and deals with elements of 'Unshackled Demons', as is continues with the resilient mutants' plight. The Bat Blood series takes you beyond the immortalization of mankind, and into the realm of intelligent, hybrid creatures that feel they have the right to exist, and challenges anyone that gets in their way. To must of them, man is just another animal that can be killed and eaten. To Duncan, they are a part of him that he can not abandon. With all of the resources at man's disposal, the small group of creatures seems to be doomed, but are they?
