Ashwind

The original builders of Ashwind Castle left the essence of their souls behind to select & teach the next generation of protectors of the realm. The time has come and evil has struck, sending the essences of the Lion Room deep into the earth. The remaining essences select their champions known to the realm as Guides. Brydon is one of these. He has the ability to speak with the dead and move them across to the next plane. When Brydon first experienced his ability the dead surrounded him, threatening to harm him if he didn't help them. Untrained and terrified Brydon wants nothing to do with his power. With the help of his friends he must learn to use his talents or the realm will collapse and the enemy will triumph.

Ashwind Castle is a place of learning, magic, and sometimes danger. Dragon-kind have kept themselves separate from the mortals at Ashwind for hundreds of years. But when the young dragon Banprionsa and her friends go to Ashwind Castle so she can meet Siona, the girl she's been bonded to since birth, the other dragons follow. However, shortly after Banprionsa's arrival Siona goes missing. Banprionsa decides to look for her missing friend and ends up captured by the same evil sorcerer. At Ashwind, students of all races and types excitedly make bonds to the newly arrived dragons, while Siona's brother, friends, and trusted adults are anxious about the whereabouts of the girls. Siona and Banprionsa are held captive by a mysterious, wicked old sorcerer who has a grudge against Ashwind and its inhabitants. A search party of mortals and dragons sets out to find the missing girls, but the land is large and time is running out.
