Wrestling Alligators tells the story of James Billie, a Vietnam veteran, musician, and "father of Indian casinos" who led the Seminole Tribe of Florida from poverty to immense wealth. A magnetic and controversial figure, Billie's journey spans mythic tribal origins, the first bingo hall in 1979, and battles with sheriffs, states, the federal government, and even his own people.
