Errol Flynn stars in this Western shot on location in Gallup, New Mexico. Confederate officer Lafe Barstow tries to recruit troops in California, but the only folks interested in the Southern cause are bandits and drifters. After Barstow's men rescue the fiancée (Patrice Wymore, Flynn's real-life wife) of a Union Army officer (Scott Forbes) from an Indian attack, they release her and a Yankee patrol in order to save them from an even worse massacre.
