George, a disillusioned physicist, reluctantly takes on an ambitious and obnoxious graduate, Tom, for his legacy project exploring dark radiation. When they point their receiver to the skies, a signal is heard, containing more information about the universe than has ever been collected by humanity. The discovery divides them as each has their own idea of what to do with limitless knowledge.
