Out Loud

Three Muslim preteens--Omar, Muhammad, and Yazan, from the crime-ridden city of Lod, teeter on the edge of childhood, facing a father's illness, the fallout of violence, and the pain of leaving home. Then Ella, an elderly Jewish immigrant from the former Soviet Union, starts a school choir, offering a fragile refuge where their voices can rise above harsh realities and glimpse a brighter future.
