1936 American Western Film

U.S. Marshal "Lightnin" Bill Carson is on the trail of the "Pecos Kid", a notorious outlaw who has been robbing stages and banks. He manages to capture him and bring him to justice, but he is not convinced that he is the real culprit. He learns that the Kid has a twin brother named Fred Rand, who is also known as "Silent Tom". Rand is working for a gang leader named Stack Stone, who is behind the crimes. Stone has been using Rand as a decoy and a scapegoat, while he and his henchmen escape with the loot. Carson tries to prove Rand's innocence and expose Stone's scheme, but he faces many obstacles and dangers along the way.

Lightnin' Bill Carson was one of several low-budget Westerns starring Tim McCoy, who was a popular cowboy star in the 1930s. McCoy was also a real-life expert on Native American culture and history, and often incorporated authentic elements into his films. The film was directed by Sam Newfield, who was one of the most prolific directors in Hollywood history, making over 250 films in various genres. The film was produced by Puritan Pictures, a small company that specialized in cheap and quick productions. The film was shot in California, using locations such as Bronson Canyon and Corriganville. The film was released in April 1936 and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
