Lost and lonely freshman Jay has had enough of life. Free-spirited Liz has just landed in Sydney for her next adventure. The two meet and form a deep bond that brings meaning to both their lives, but aggravates Jay's cynical, socialite parents. When Liz contracts a mysterious illness, Jay becomes deeply entwined in her life, forcing all four to confront how they view the world.
