Then & Now

Sexual abuse of children by women is still a social taboo. The idea contradicts all the usual clichés - Women are primarily the victims of sexual violence. This film tells the stories of Axel and Andrea, both haunted by their memories of the sexual abuse they suffered at the hands of their mothers. For a long time they repressed their traumatic childhood memories and it wasn't until after the birth of their own children that their devastating memories came back and threatened to overwhelm them.
