Political activism meets disco culture in this salacious melodrama. Set in Brazil in the late 1970s, Prime Time Soap follows Amanda, a high-end prostitute, and her mysterious maid, Dora. The pair are on the run after murdering a corrupt police official in the pockets of the authoritarian regime. Told in the kitsch, comedic style of the Brazilian telenovela, Prime Time Soap offers a new generation's take on their country's brutal past.
