In 1957, aging minor leaguer Roy Dean Bream's dreams of pitching in the Majors are long dead but love of the game keeps him playing. When the team signs on 17-year-old rookie Tyrone Debray, he sees someone with the potential to achieve what he never could and an unlikely friendship develops across the boundaries of race and age, inspiring both to become more than they ever thought they could be!
