Inspired by actual events. After the death of its reigning emperor, the Roman Empire plummets into war as feuding brothers battle for control of the empty throne. Elite warrior Jan (Ben Foster) is hired to kidnap the fiancée of the competing heir but in the process realizes that if united, the fate of the empire could belong to its people.
