Wolves, Some see in them predatory beasts, others romanticize them as mythical creatures. Many are fascinated by the strict hierarchy often described by scientists studying wolves in reserves. But does such a competitive hierarchy also exist in the wild? How do wild wolves live? Biologist and nature documentary film-maker Sebastian Koerner has been recording the return of the wolves almost from the start. Over a period of three years, he managed to get unique pictures of the family of wild wolves as never before seen in Europe. The film Germany's Wild Wolves shows how similar the social structures of humans and wolves are. It clears up modern myths about a fascinating wild animal which, thanks to strict protection, can once again play an important role in Germany's wildlife.
