About
Just after the Civil War, confederates attempt to establish a town with a Union fort nearby. But things become rocky when an Indian attack is staged.

The film begins in the aftermath of the Civil War, with a band of Confederate soldiers sworn never to accept the dishonor of surrender and their families, led by Captain John Morgan, on the Bozeman Trail in Montana with the intention of establishing their own self-governing colony in the territory. In addition to coming into conflict with Lieutenant Gilchrist of the Union Army, trouble is stoked by the activities of a renegade ex-soldier named Riley, who traffics with the Sioux for supplies and ammunition for a wagon train he leads that also includes Lucy Strong, daughter of the post's commander, Colonel Strong.
This film was first broadcast on New York's pioneering television station, W2XBS, on Sunday, March 10, 1940. It is one of more than 200 titles in the slate of independent feature films made available for television by Advance Television Pictures, announced in Motion Picture Herald. At this time, television broadcasts were in their infancy, almost totally restricted by the advent of World War II, and would not develop further until 1945-1946.
