Mercenery Sergei Kowalski (Franco Nero) joins up with a Mexican peasant-turned-revolutionary, Paco Roman (Tony Musante), to rob a silver mine. No longer content to toil for the rich, Roman plans to bring a new order to Mexico by force with his ragtag gang, but they also have to contend with Curly (Jack Palance), a vengeful killer out for blood, who is hot on their trail. Direction by Sergio Corbucci and score by Ennio Morricone make "The Mercenary" one the best spaghetti westerns ever made.
