When the Sand Sings

Isla, an alien shifter from Azurea escapes an ancient dying world ravaged by a brutal war between the Talas and Fades. She, and nine others from her world, arrive on earth in the right "where", but thanks to the Fades interference they land in the wrong "when". One part of their aircraft lands in the middle of what would eventually become the vortex of the United States. The other becomes buried beneath the sands of Durabia. Forced to continue a battle that should have ended eons ago, the new planet pays the ultimate price when the Tala wipe out nearly all human inhabitants in an effort to rid themselves of the Fades once and for all.
Once the seed of one powerful woman is spliced and spread to replenish earth, the Tala life force is imprinted into the fabric of human DNA and a new battle emerges between Tala and Fade, this time a spiritual one. Isla and her mate, Scarab, use their gifts of telepathy and shapeshifting to travel earth's fluid timeline that blends past, present and future. Unfortunately, their attempts to right old wrongs and restore the balance of the very planet they hoped to peacefully inhabit, is countered by formidable adversaries.
