A rogue virus (HLVd+) has suddenly killed the entire global cannabis crop. Governments fall, and deadly riots break out, as the global drug cartels go into a violent tailspin. Willow Barrant is an Aboriginal Australian botanist. She specialises in genetics, and uses her unique Australian indigenous knowledge to create new plant strains. She's been testing new cannabis plants on a secret plot of land near her employer's commercial cannabis farm. The cartels discover she has the last remaining crop on earth, and it's resistant to the disease. This means her tiny crop is potentially worth billions of dollars. They make plans to kidnap her and take her crop. The Asian, Sinaloa and Balkan cartels send kill-teams to her crop in northern Australia. But Willow is a tough cookie. She once trained as an army SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) specialist at a secret CIA-funded facility. She uses her military skills, and local indigenous knowledge, to battle the enemy.
