As the countdown to new year echoes around the streets of Edinburgh, Blake Langford is seeking comfort in a bottle of whiskey. His life torn apart by his previous assignment, Blake has shut himself off from the world. When a police spotlight shines on a body hanging from the top of Edinburgh Castle however, Blake discovers that the past still has many unanswered questions.
