Dr. Matthias Mort Samael, the Angel of Death, is seeking a psychiatric consultant to travel through time with him and keep him from falling apart while he does his hardest jobs. Dr. Susan Fernandez has an incurable brain stem cancer that he tells her can be healed by Raphaella, the Healing Archangel. Together they address the death of the Egyptian first born at Passover, then go on to treat the other great collections of death, such as the Inquisition, World War II, and Black Plague deaths and the final collection of souls at the Last Judgment.
