The Pulaski Reader

Centered around Konstanty Gaszynski's book from the mid-nineteenth century, "The Remainder of the Memoires About Casimir Pulaski by Maciej Rogowski" and surrounded by articles from Polish and American scholars, "The Pulaski Reader" is a great source to find out about this military leader who was famous in Poland and Revolutionary America. In addition to leading a revolt against Russia in the Bar Revolt (1767 — 1772), Pulaski was also the first commander of cavalry of the American Army who subsequently lost his life at the battle of Savannah in 1779. This book features nineteen articles covering aspects of Pulaski's life and his cultural impact in Poland and North America.
