A fictional review of a fictional long poem by a fictional poet, and the romantic tale of how the search to find the cause of potato bruising led an academic to find love and a new life in the potato patch. Ed Teja is a boat bum, magazine editor, freelance writer, poet, musician and traveler. He lives in and writes about places that lie in the margins of the world. Boats, islands and remote (tropical) places are his natural habitat. Places without cold weather are nice. After a few years lurking about Southeast Asia (where the living is gentle, the food good and the weather kind) he is in New Mexico, writing more stories.
