In this novel, Sergey, (Colonel Brushev) and his fellow agent, Yuri, are dispatched to investigate a report of sabotage at a nuclear plant in Northern Siberia. The story takes place late in 1992 when Russia was in disarray with the cultural, political, and personal upheavals after Glasnost and Perestroika. Even remote Siberia is affected by the rumbling disorder. Sergey and Yuri meet the forces of evil-their fellow persons.
