The Naughty Elf by Billy William Johnson (WEJ) is a heartwarming children's picture book about Finnley, a cheerful young elf who learns what it means to be good. When Finnley lets his temper get the best of him and makes a bad choice, he finds himself learning an important lesson from The Commodore-the wise elf in charge of helping naughty elves find their way back to kindness. Set in a bright, festive elf village filled with laughter, cookies, and family love, this beautifully illustrated story captures the joy and warmth of the Christmas spirit. As Finnley works to make things right, he discovers the importance of honesty, respect, and friendship. Inspired by the author's grandchildren, The Naughty Elf combines humor, color, and heart to teach timeless values about responsibility and self-improvement. Young readers will relate to Finnley's mistakes and cheer for his transformation as he learns that being kind and good brings much more happiness than being naughty ever could. Perfect for ages 4-8, this book is a wonderful holiday read-aloud that families will treasure year after year. With its gentle lessons, lively illustrations, and uplifting message, The Naughty Elf reminds every child that even when we make mistakes, we always have the power to make better choices and shine bright-just like Finnley the elf.
