"Nasty Mountain" is both a fairy tale for older children and an allegory for adults. It is a tale of adventure, action, courage and learning how to work together in a world of suspicion, fear, hatred and prejudice that has ruled for many years, if not centuries. It is a story of love and friendship emerging in spite of the presence of distrust and tribal isolation. At a time in our society and the world where fear, suspicion and hatred of tyhe "Other" seems to be a daily practice, this book offers hope that people of different backgrounds and cultures can learn to collaborate and live together with more trust and a willingness to help each other out.
