About
Sally Holmes isn't your average eleven-year-old girl. Instead of makeup, sleepovers, and boys, her favorite things are true crime shows, Nancy Drew books, and the fingerprinting kit she got for Christmas. And her dog, Sherlock, of course. Sally's dreamed of being a detective for years, and now she's finally getting the chance to solve her very first case at the local library.Keys have been stolen by unknown thieves, the library staff is acting strange, and an author who's been dead for a decade has just released a new book. On top of that, there's a rumor that the library's being haunted by the ghost of a girl who went missing there years ago. To Sally, and her crime-solving canine, it seems like none of the mysteries are related to each other. But nothing is what it seems. And everything is connected. Can Sally and Sherlock solve the crime and put an end to the library chaos? Or will this case get the best of them?Twists, hijinks, and suspense abound in the first book of this new middle grade mystery series, starring a clever girl detective in the vein of Nancy Drew, and her sweet corgi dog, Sherlock!
