As the school bell rings and signals the beginning of summer, everyone is excited - except Tommy. His dad has a new job in California and now Tommy has to move and leave his friends forever. As he steps off the bus and snags his uniform with his backpack, a button falls off and rolls into the curb. Now trapped on a dusty busy street, Button is very scared!
The minute Button thinks he is small and insignificant, a soft hand picks him up and puts him in a jar with lots of other buttons. As Button peers out the glass jar, he sees a one-eyed, sad brown bear sitting on a child’s bed.
