He's already my roommate. It's not like it's a big deal if I marry him while I'm at it.



When I moved in with Miles Granger, it was because I was tight on cash and I needed somewhere to live while I started my new veterinarian job.

Miles and I don't even really know each other. I'm moving in because Margaret-Green Valley's honorary grandmother-vouched for him and promised me that he wouldn't murder me in my sleep. She said it would be fine.



Speaking of fine... Miles is something to behold, and it's a little frustrating to find your roommate attractive.



When a family bet gets a little out of hand, Miles asks for my help. It's a deal that works for both of us and changes nothing.

Only there's a lot more pretending than we planned on. His family dropping by unannounced. Going camping on the annual family trip. Sharing a tent. A bed. A shower.

This marriage in name only is getting hard to maintain.
