Darlene A. Halliday celebrates the release of her first novel...During their courtship, Russ appears to have all the qualifications of a perfect mate. Darlene was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, married young and soon realized that her husband was an abuser. However, fate stepped in when she was badly injured in a car accident so she learned to tolerate his behaviour. Over the years she struggles to improve her situation, but finally leaves her husband and starts a new life.
