About

Postcards & Poems is a book of watercolor art and poetry, created to inspire the creative relationship between the written word and visual arts.

Set up to provide a meditation for an entire month, this book is written in such a way as to facilitate pondering on the meanings of the subjects, the poetry, and the art in a contemplative, digestive fashion.

Author Aaron Evans has written poetry for most of his life, but he has never experienced such a creative outpouring as he did to create this book. The work is a result of taking the author's creative voice seriously. If it had something to say, Aaron stopped everything to listen.

The poetry is inspired by Aaron's many adventures in the last year, including a trip to the Pacific Northwest in an RV, a toxic co-dependent relationship, loss and grief, and love and marriage.

May this book draw you to listen to yourself, may it draw you into creative action!
