About

Since recorded music makes first-rate performances available at any time and any place, fewer people have interest in listening to an amateur's playing. However, today, nonprofessional music is more widespread than ever before. More people listen to music, and then find that they want to play it for their own pleasure. Most students had to give up soon, as they could not achieve any repertoire at all. Amateurs can come to feel that repertoire demands too much of them and gives too little in return. Sight-reading is a viable alternative, which offers students access to all music literature; with which a student can acquaint himself with any composition, without the aid of a teacher; and the ability of sight-reading cannot be lost.
