This book is written by two award-winning instructors. Ken Rand and Kim Thomas met at an educational conference in Chicago, where Kim received her Illinois Teacher of the Year award. After a short but fruitful conversation, they quickly discovered that their teaching philosophies of connecting and engaging students were remarkably similar. They decided to continue their discussions and soon collaborated on what they hoped would be the definitive book on "how to teach."
