Murder in the Snows is a murder mystery set in the eastern part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The year is 1947, just a couple years after World War II. When the victim is, discovered, the shock to the local sheriff, George Kaughman, is overwhelming, as he was, his best friend. Aside from his feelings for Two Shoes, he needs to find the one who killed his Native American, friend. The search seems to be a roller coaster of clues and dead ends, until the end, when he discovers shocking, evidence that leads the reader to a surprise, ending.
