Jacob "The Charming One" Kingston has spent his whole life being the life of every party and the butt of every joke. Now, he's finally ready to get serious. The problem is, no one is willing to give him a chance to be anything but the comic relief. Not his family. Not his fellow cops. Not even the damsel in distress he just rescued from a biker bar. Alright, so maybe he should have minded his own business, but he couldn't just leave her there to be accosted by Satan's Henchmen, could he? Nope, not on his watch. Maybe, just maybe, carrying her out of The Wilde Hawg on his shoulder was a bit over-the-top but what's a wanna-be hero supposed to do? Anna Petrova has never met anyone like Jacob Kingston. He's a fool. A clown. A man without substance. He's also the most beautiful and amusing person she's ever met. But she doesn't need someone to make her laugh, she needs help. Her life is a disaster and she's all alone in a strange country with her troubled son depending on her. The only person willing to assist her is this man who's more intent on seduction than rescue. Can she trust him to be her hero? Or will he abandon her when her circumstances go from bad to worse?
