Lying Minds: An Insiders Guide to Alcoholism If your mission is to slay a dragon then it's a good idea to know a thing or two about dragons before you set out. Fighting alcoholism is exactly the same. This book explains how our brain deceives us about alcohol; how it compels us to drink too much, too often, and how control and free will with respect to alcohol are taken from us. It explains how we are changed emotionally, how memory and thinking are distorted and the psychological consequences that follow. It is essential knowledge for anyone trying to stop drinking or thinking they may need to.
