About
The title Love's Icarus is self explanatory to those who know the story of Icarus, to those who don't. Icarus ignored his father's warning, flew too close to the sun and his wings melted plunging him into the ocean. Love's Icarus translates to being warned not to fall too deeply in love such that you cannot extricate yourself from the emotional damage that follows after a break up .This collection of poetry, titled Love's Icarus, explores the volatile spectrum of human emotion, ranging from the euphoria of new romance to the desolation of loss. The author uses vivid natural imagery, such as the eternal longing between the wolf and the moon, to illustrate the persistence of unrequited or tragic affection. Many verses focus on the physical and spiritual allure of a specific woman, detailing how her presence provides a sense of divine purpose. However, the narrative shifts toward heartbreak and abandonment, eventually transitioning into a dark fascination with mortality and personified death. Ultimately, the work portrays a soul struggling to find peace, trapped between the memories of a past lover and a desperate craving for the finality of the grave. Klarion Scribbles is 21 year old writer/poet from Mthatha in South Africa, he has written 3 books prior to this one namely Through Your Eyes, Through Your Eyes Extended and Love's Icarus. He has labeled his writing as stemming from memories that seem to float around his mind
