Death hits close to home and Cyn's family is growing.
Trigger, former owner of the veteran's shooting range Shots Fired, was found dead in a hotel room while serving on a sequestered jury. Cause of death appears to be accidental, but Cynthia "Cyn" Sharp's newest addition disagrees. He may be older and limping, but Ruger knows his dad wasn't alone and his ears cannot be fooled.
With two dogs and two jobs, Cyn's hands are a little full but that won't stop her from looking into 12 jurors, 2 alternates, a suspected corrupt public official and the entire criminal justice system. From blackmail to blacklisted celebrities, every thread unravels into more suspects but one of them is holding the end of the rope... in a noose sized for Cyn.
