Jack Randall's describes in his memoir his childhood years as the unwanted child of a teenage mother through his adult years in the Navy and his later career as an electronic technician traveling the world. Born in 1934, Randall spent his childhood shuffled back and forth from his mother to his grandmother, to aunts and uncles, to boarding schools, and to pedophile Walter Donovan, good friend of Cardinal Spellman and choirmaster and organist in Catholic churches throughout New York City, with whom Randall lived for 3 years from the ages of 11 through 14.
